Theater, music, and testimonies, the “INSPIRE” journey created by SINGA in Lille

On March 23rd, SINGA Lille organized an extraordinary event called “INSPIRE”. Set in the magnificent Théâtre du Nord, we were taken on a journey of inspiring encounters, artistic performances, and a philosophy of life that advocates interdependence and solidarity among human beings. The event created a captivating atmosphere, celebrating the power of human connections and the beauty of diversity.

A ceremony where the philosophy of Ubuntu is celebrated

Sila Odhuno, the master of ceremonies, guided the participants throughout this journey, embracing the philosophy of Ubuntu. This philosophy invites us to recognize that we are all interconnected, and our well-being depends on the well-being of others. It encourages us to support and help each other, regardless of our differences and origins.

The first stop on this inspiring journey was the encounter with two remarkable individuals, Evelyne and Kassoum. They shared their life stories with sincerity and humility, filled with hopes, challenges, and resilience. This intense and authentic moment deeply touched the hearts of the audience.

The journey continued with a mesmerizing Afghan music group, captivating the guests with unique and transcendent melodies that transcended borders, carrying the audience on an emotional and musical voyage.

The subsequent theatrical performance delivered a poignant and captivating spectacle, composed of life stories from members of the SINGA community. The actors, many of whom had never performed in front of an audience before, skillfully conveyed, in a poetic and truthful manner, the different perspectives related to migration.

To conclude the evening, a cocktail allowed the participants to meet the various contributors and share their impressions. The exchanges were enriching, and smiles were abundant, fostering a sense of unity and connection among all present.
