SINGA Barcelona Celebrates the Success of Its third Cohort of Entrepreneurs

On Wednesday, July 17th, SINGA Barcelona celebrated the closing ceremony of its CONEXUS III incubation program. The event, held at the AKASHA Hub, brought together nine passionate entrepreneurs who presented their projects to an enthusiastic audience. Mariona Gonzalez, Director of Economy and Social Innovation at SpainNAB, was the guest of honor for the evening.

Over the course of four months, eleven entrepreneurs received intensive support through the CONEXUS program, helping them develop their business plans, refine their communication strategies, master the art of pitching, and connect with professionals in Barcelona. Nine of them presented their projects at the closing ceremony, in front of an audience of over 60 people.

The evening began with an inspiring discussion between Flavia Catacora, Director of SINGA Barcelona, and Mariona González, on the importance of migration innovation and social cohesion in addressing contemporary challenges. Mariona González highlighted, «Social and environmental challenges are growing, and we need new proposals and innovative solutions. Entrepreneurship is one way to meet these challenges, and it is essential that organizations like SINGA support entrepreneurs focused on generating positive change in society.»

Following the presentation of the CONEXUS program, nine participants delivered their pitches, with Ludi Adelino winning the award for the best pitch with the artistic and cultural project Wylsum Cultura. The evening concluded with a musical performance by Las Forasteritas, a group of immigrants in Spain, who launched their first EP, celebrating the multicultural nature of the event.

Flavia Catacora concluded by saying, «This ceremony was a vibrant and enriching testament where newcomers were heard and recognized for their contributions to society. We are very proud to count among us the entrepreneurs from the SINGA community who are making a positive impact in key sectors of Barcelona’s economy.»
